l started Tinta Verde Studio seeking survival through self expression in art making. Since, I have transmuted time and time again and learned so much about my Self and my desires. As a Gemini rising I am, naturally, inclined to multidisciplinary art practices such as Architecture, 2D mediums, digital art, leatherwork, fashion, and so many more including body adornment (my current adoration). My spirit seeks to shapeshift with every cell that regenerates from my body.
I have found comfort in my passion's ability to connect me more deeply to our desires (all of my bodies, shapes, dimensions, spirits forms, etc.) and to collective consciousness. So, to me Tinta Verde Studio is part of my creation of my reality, my life, my being, my multidimensionalily expressed as art. It is an exploration and interpretation of the intricacies of life ~ of existence.
As a Capricorn moon, Tinta Verde has gifted me with the physical representation of metaphysical sentiments ~ emotions (energy in motion). A physical translation of what can only be felt and experienced ~ an attempt to understand and elevate this wonderful experience that is living as a human on Earth. It is in my galactic code as an Aries sun ~ my desire to share my self, my experience, and with that, provide others with some tools and a little courage to seek their own.
I share with you my yolkwalli ~ the magic of my heart ~ hoping you’ll receive this L🫀VE that burns within. I express to you my magic through all I create and share with so much intention ~ with so much passion.
Why body adornment?
There are so many reasons!!!
Desde el principio de la consciencia aprendimos a adornar nuestro cuerpo según el acceso a sabiduría. Too many times I’ve witnessed ancestral knowledge on symbolism around adornment be reduced to useless when today, we walk adorning our bodies with materials and brands that are quite literally killing our earth. A loss of consciousness or misunderstanding of daily practices and my desire to inform people of their power has led me towards this path.
Body adornment is part of such a vast spectrum of interwoven topics and at the same time takes part in our daily ritual. I seek to add perspective for folks to realize and understand its impact at small and large scales.
Just like earth holds us and nurtures us with her body, our body is a sacred vessel for the smaller parts of us. Those parts of us that allow our body not only to function but to thrive - in the physical and metaphysical. Given that all is symbolic, I invite you to ask yourself...
🫀What am I choosing to place on my body-? Who am I adorning for-? What adornment makes me feel empowered and why? Is it for status? For aesthetics? For comfort? Is it to appease a certain social standard-? Is it to appease another-? Is it for the parts of myself I seek to express-? Does it make me feel good, joyful, like myself-?
Identity is naturally important for the human as we try to make sense of this life. Adornment is a form of translation for those identities as we seek to find our essense within a society that forces us into definitive roles and interpretations of self. I invite you to seek beyond the curtain of limitations and explore what exists behind ~ the possibilities are endless!
WHO do YOU WANT to BE? WHO do YOU SEEK to EMBODY? WHO and WHAT exists at the CORE or YOUR ESSENSE? What adornment makes you FEEL EMPOWERED for SELF SEEKING and INNERSTANDING.
